In a quest to deepen educational and cultural exchanges between Ghana and the United Arab Emirates, I visited the 3rd top-ranking university in the Middle East located in Abu Dhabi.
The leadership of Khalifa university of Science & Technology and I held constructive discussions centred around possible exchange programs, students and lecturers, scholarships, Research TVET and STEM education, water, Renewables, Energy, Food security, Environment and innovation.
The ultimate aim of the visit is to push for a partnership between the Khalifa university and Ghanaian universities.
This will undoubtedly be the first time an African country will be collaborating with Khalifa university.
Such collaborative engagements stand to stimulate cultural and language Diplomacy, especially when Ghanaian beneficiaries develop Arabic language skills in the process.
My profound gratitude goes to the President of the university, H. E. Prof. Ebrahim Al Hajri and Acting Vice President Dr. Ashraf Al Najdawi who warmly received me at the esteemed university today, he did confirmed Ghana is the first African country to pay a visit to the university to discuss areas of cooperation and collaboration.
