The session provided accredited Ambassadors with an overview of the structure, thematic focus, and preparatory arrangements for the 2026 United Nations Water Conference, scheduled to take place in the United Arab Emirates from 2–4 December 2026 .

During the briefing, it was announced that Ghana is among the 12 countries selected to serve as co-chairs for the conference’s thematic tracks. Ghana will co-chair the “ Water for People ” track alongside Switzerland.

The Embassy appreciates the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the UAE for convening the briefing and for its continued engagement with the diplomatic corps in Abu Dhabi.
